You may never be reviewed in the New York Times, receive a starred review in Publisher's Weekly, be invited to attend a prestigious writer's colony, awarded the elusive Guggenheim Fellowship or Genius Grant. Oprah may never shout out your name as the author of her next book club selection and you may never, ever walk away with a Pulitzer, National Book Award or Nobel Prize.
You may not be celebrated or recognized in your lifetime, but know that your name and your work will reemerge on the tongues and in the minds of future generations.
All is not for nought....
