So I guess ya'll are wondering what all of the champagne popping was about!
Well - there was the New York Times Review of Gathering of Waters - by none other than the 2011 National Book Award winner Jesmyn Ward - this was followed by the New York Times Editor's Choice, topped off by me inking a Film/Stage option deal for SUGAR with actress, Kimberly Elise!!
So needless to say February was a very exciting month....I hope that March offers more of the same!

I am so happy for you. I loved the book Sugar and am looking forward to seeing the movie. Get better soon and what part of Mississippi are you planing to visit. Hope I can get to see you there I am in Tennessee.

This is wonderful! When I think how hard you struggled with GLORIOUS, which was such a triumph, and now this great success with GATHERING OF WATERS! I am thrilled for you. I can't think of a writer -- or work -- more deserving.
